Room Data Tab

The Room Data tab is designed to allow the easy entry of height, width and length dimensions for the calculation of room modes. These entries are required to access the Axial Modes, All Modes and Bonello Chart tabs

Predominant Dimensions: For a mostly rectangular room these are the predominant dimensions intersecting the main listening position.

Secondary Dimensions: For rooms that are not rectangular, the calculation of tangential and especially oblique modes is often not useful. These rooms still usually have sets of parallel opposing boundaries (walls, ceiling, floor etc.) and the resulting axial modes based upon these surfaces. Axial modes calculated from these secondary dimensions will be inserted into your tables to better analyze the room. These modes are not included in the Bonello chart.

Convert to Inches: This button changes feet and inches to pure inch measurements or vice versa. It is disabled for metric functions.

Units: These option controls allow the accurate translation of feet and inch measurements to metric units and vice versa.
