What Should I Bring?

The seminar is designed to be a practical exercise therefore you should use your own equipment during the workshops. If you do not own some of the items though, each team can be supplied with a loaner. The following items will be used:

- Sound Pressure Meter
- Real Time Analyzer (1/12th octave or better)
- Energy Time/Impulse Response or like
- Digital Camera
- Personal Reference DVDs and CDs
- Laptop (data printout)*

It is necessary in order to complete some of the exercises to have the ability to save and print out your response plots. A printer with USB and parallel inputs will be available onsite but if you bring your own instruments, you should bring your laptop and software required to generate these printouts. The object of the class is to give the student a practical process they can use in their business. The class is most useful if you get used to using your own gear.

*As part of the certification exam, each student will be required to create a System Analysis Report. The required reports are generated by the AVPro Report Suite sold on this website but such reports could be created without the software using your own style of report writing in Word. The key is providing the necessary information and data to a client in what ever form you decide to. Each student will be provided with a limited use version of the AVPro software to be used during the class and later to write the exam report, so a laptop is necessary to save the data required to complete the exam.
